What a week! From the moment our partners from Turkiye, Poland, and Romania landed, Italy kept us busy, curious, and very well‑fed.
We kicked things off with an opening ceremony full of music and ice‑breakers, followed immediately by the most Italian bonding activity possible: making pizza together. (Yes, it tasted amazing. And it was with Nutella)
The days that followed were a lively mix of Naples city explorations, science inspiration at the Institute of Marine Biology, and interviews with brilliant women working in research. We also squeezed in seaside walks in Sorrento, archaeological time‑travel in Ercolano, and art‑hunting in the historic villas of San Giorgio a Cremano.
Evenings were all about families, friendship, and trying each other’s traditional dishes—plus a final farewell pizza party that nobody wanted to leave.
Italy, you were unforgettable.
